When a baby boy is young, his mother and father will look after him. The baby is attached to its mum and dad.
When the baby grows up then it is time to let go the attachments and as an adult the young man needs to be free to live out his life doing what he wants to do.
The role has changed and now Mum and Dad is not so much a parent but a good friend to their son.
Mum and Dad now walks behind their son. If he ever falls they will be there to help him and pick him up. But only if he falls.
As parents we should need to be able to let go as well as to love fully. We try not to over reach and suffocate or under do and neglect. This is the fine line of life. Balance.
Keep things simple. Do not make layers upon layers of things unnecessary. Much ado about nothing.
